My Approach

As a psychotherapist, I'm gentle but honest. I take a trauma informed and attachment based approach to helping clients to address mental health concerns. I believe a client-centered approach is important, as each client is unique and needs different things. This approach is taken by collaboratively developing personalized treatment plans, together with clients, to ensure their unique needs and goals are met. Services are individually tailored to help individuals heal from things like trauma and emotional pain, learn to work with and respond to their own emotions and nervous system, manage life changes or in relationship with others, and achieve personal growth and development.

In sessions, you will be supported with empathy and compassion in exploring and understanding your inner experience and together we will work to improve the relationship you have with yourself. These are seen as important foundational components, as this helps to make day-to-day life more bearable, even enjoyable, and helps to bring the self-awareness necessary to achieve your therapy goals. We'll integrate helpful tools, strategies and skills necessary to cope or change patterns in everyday life. These also help you to manage triggers in therapy, so you're better able to venture into the tough stuff, with me along side to support you.

I use evidence-based practices to provide the best care possible for my clients. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for clients to explore whatever they have going on inside and work towards their goals.

Let me know if you have any questions about my approach. I'm happy to meet with you for a free 10-15 minutes consultation so we can get a sense if we're a good fit.
